Like in 2005 the summer school was intended to have the form of informal meeting for scientists and students interested in the proposed theme, which means that experienced specialists from different areas of biostatistic presented lectures on the theme of interest from various points of view and discussed them with other attendees. On the other hand also the oral presentations of students provided research in selected areas will be discussed by both key-note speakers and other students.

The main scientific task of the 2nd International Summer School on Computational Biology was the methodology of environmental epidemiology with focus on risk assessment. First day of the summer school was dedicated to introduction and preliminary steps of data analysis with respect to evaluation of the environmental data. On day 2 statistical modeling concepts was presented together with methods for visualization of environmental and epidemiological data using GIS. The proposed methodology was practically demonstrated on the last day of summer school. There was given practical course using computers on complex analysis of environmental contamination and human risk data.

The language of summer school was English.
