Research groups at IBA FM MU Educational data mining, analysis and visualization

Leader of the research group Leader of the research group: Martin Komenda, Ph.D.

This working group at the Institute of Biostatistics and Analyses at the Faculty of Medicine of the Masaryk University (IBA FM MU) plays an important role in many research projects focused on the application of analytical, data mining and visualisation methods on educational data.

The primary objective of this working group is a long-term development of cooperation between students and researchers across academic institutions not only in the Czech Republic, but also abroad. The selected topics – focusing on processing, analysis and visualisation of educational data – are solved under the supervision of IBA MU. Special attention is paid to selected curriculum mapping issues. Apart from proposing particular projects, special attention is paid to the production of innovative research results (in the form of conference contributions and papers). The working group also offers its supervision of bachelor theses and diploma theses on this topic.
